Curriculum & Instruction

Curriculum is generally thought to be “a course of study,” or what we teach.  It is much more than this, however.  Effective classrooms, teachers also think about how they teach (the instruction), whom they teach (the students, with all their varying needs), and where they teach (the learning environment).  Also, effective teachers know they need to plan their curricula with the end in mind. GES offers assistance in the four main components of curriculum and instruction:

Educational Audit

is a structured approach to organizational analysis, policy direction, curriculum quality
and equity, and system use of feedback to determine school district effectiveness in promoting student learning. It is perfect for any district leadership team seeking valuable feedback regarding its efforts to improve learning for all students.
